The Sudanese pound is the currency for Sudan.

The currency code for the Sudanese pound is SDP. The currency symbol used is SD or ج.س.

The Sudanese pound was first seen in 1992 and was replaced by the Sudanese dinar.

In 2007, a second Sudanese pound was introduced. After a 6 month transitional period, it went onto replace the dinar as the only legal tender of Sudan.
